REX Top-Up Warranty?
Since 1998, the NHBRC has protected consumers against poor workmanship, with cover of up to R500,000 for five years from the date of occupation.
The REX Top-Up Warranty enhances this by increasing cover to R5 million for five years and is available for homes within three years of the first occupation date. As an added benefit, REX will also assist by submitting your claim to the NHBRC on your behalf.

The builder must have been NHBRC-registered during the construction period
Property Age Limitation
The property must be no older than 3 years from date of first occupation
Certificate of Compliance
Certificate of Compliance issued by local authority
NHBRC Enrolment Certificate
The home must have a valid NHBRC Enrolment Certificate
