What is the
REX Warranty?
The REX Top-up Warranty is an extended cover solution for residential dwellings enrolled under the NHBRC Warranty Fund. It bridges the gap by offering additional protection for construction-related defects and structural issues beyond the statutory NHBRC warranty (date of occupation). REX Top-up Warranty is transferable, ensuring continued coverage even when ownership of the property changes.

To qualify for the REX Top-up Warranty, the following conditions must be met:
Do You Meet the REX Warranty Requirements?
Property Age Limitation
The property must be no older than 3 years from NHBRC Warranty (date of occupation) issue date.​
NHBRC Enrolment Certificate
​The home must have a valid NHBRC Enrolment Certificate (date of occupation) in place.
Registered Builder Compliance
The builder must have been NHBRC-registered at the time of warranty issuance.

REX Top-up Warranty does not apply to:
